Oblivion Island: Haruka & Magic Mirror Movie Review

This was overall one of the best movies I've  ever seen.

The Story: A young girl named Haruka who  lives with her father wonders where all lost items go after being forgotten, after her losing a mirror that had been special to both her and her mother.  After having a fight with her father, she sets off into the woods. She notices an odd creature,, picking up lost items around her. The creature runs off, an she follows, falling into a strange portal to another realm. In that realm she learns those who live their collect lost, or forgotten objects from the mortal world, bringing them back to sell as their own. Their whole world is built off of lost items from earth. With others hating humans, Haruka must hide. She sets out to find her mirror, eventually discovering the king had owned it now. The king, refusing to give it up. Haruka fights to reclaim her past items.

Storyline: The storyline for this movie was extremely interesting, and quite depressing..

Characters: I liked how relate able the character of Haruka was. With her mother dead, and left to stay with her father.

Fractale Review (Whole Series Review)

"I Look up to the sky, And offer my wish to the Day Star,
Asking its light to shine"

Okay, This was overall an amazing anime. I was disappointed to discover how there are only 11 episodes. But I still really enjoyed it!

One of the only things I didn't like about the series?
The finale (Episode 11 "Paradise") Left MANY questions unanswered. There seemed to be too much happening all at one time!! But, those last seven minutes or so of the episode I could not stop crying...

Clein finally decided to let both Nessa and Phryne "merge" into one person. As they merged, I was in sobbing like crazy. And yet I freaked out over how Clein wasn't crying, Yet I was. After that they basically summed up how life was getting better. Then they show Clein in his house, a year later. It turns out the new form of both "Nessa" ad "Phryne" had been in a coma for a year and finally woke.

The Overall Series:

Storyline: I admit, the storyline was hard to follow at times, like for example the first episode confused me with the whole "doples" situation. But, it was very interesting how life was for Clein and how the mysterious Phryne literally dropped into Cleins life, changing both him and her forever.

Characters: The characters for this anime were extremely well portrayed.  Clein was the average, adventurous teenage boy! But then you have characters who came in like Phryne and Nessa.
Phryne was the troubled, secretive, depressed teenager with a hard backround. And Nessa was the fun, childish, and loyal young girl who almost everyone could love! Even from the first episode where they introduced Nessa, I automatically fell in love with her and her personality!

Graphics: The graphics for this anime were quite impressive in my eyes. Lemme tell you, The opening .. Oh go the opening! I thought it's give me a seizure! But I still liked it!

So, this short, amazing anime! I would highly recommend it. Even though it may be short, it's still very interesting, funny, and entertaining!

Overall rate: 9/10
